Ukraine restarts container transportation via Black Sea route

Ukraine has resumed container shipping on the Black Sea: a ship with containers called at one of the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, on April 3.

The pioneer vessel was the T Mare, flying the Panamanian flag. It then embarked on its return journey to Constanta, Romania.

So far, this is not a full-fledged specialized ship, but a so-called feeder, which makes charter flights between Constanta and the ports of Greater Odesa. Until then, container transportation was carried out to a limited extent through the Danube ports of Odesa Oblast.

As reported, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development and Infrastructure in March announced that in early April the Odesa ports should receive the first ship with containers since the beginning of the war.
