Ukrainian u.ventures with its head office in Kyiv became an investor in the Ukrainian startup Competera which develops an intelligent price optimization platform for retailers.
u.ventures is the latest investor in the company during its seed+ round. It is a capital fund established by WNISEF dedicated to supporting early-stage Ukrainian and Moldovan technology startups that demonstrate great potential and are geared towards serving global markets.
The parties do not disclose the amount of the deal. In a commentary to Forbes Ukraine, Bohdan Sviridov, Investment Director of Horizon Capital and u.ventures, said that the fund is the singular investor of this round. According to him, u.ventures’ first check at the seed stage usually ranges from $300,000 to $500,000.
“The infusion of capital from our recent seed+ round will enable us to augment our AI capabilities, broaden our service offerings, and scale our operations globally. This expansion will enhance our ability to support our retail clients”
Competera’s representatives commented on the deal.
This is the second capital infusion in the startup this year. In January 2024, Competera raised a $3 million investment from STRATMINDS, Flyer One Ventures, Verras Capital, SMRK Fund, and Transform Partners Fund.
