Etsy Payments, a payment interface of one of the largest handmade marketplaces in the world, Etsy, has officially been launched in Ukraine.
Access to the payment system will allow Ukrainian entrepreneurs to officially sell their goods to people from America, Europe, and Asia, and foreign buyers will be able to pay for Ukrainian goods with any card in the world.
In addition, sellers on the platform will have access to the Etsy Purchase Protection system, special round-the-clock support, and will be able to manage all the financial data of their store.
Prior to the launch of the Etsy Payments payment system, foreigners buying goods from Ukrainian sellers could only pay for their purchases through the PayPal app. In addition, Ukrainians could not open new stores on Etsy before. But with the launch of Etsy Payments, this will change.
The Etsy platform is well-known among entrepreneurs in Ukraine. However, since April 2021, new account registrations were impossible as the service was not operational in the country.
