Ukraine and the Czech Republic will significantly strengthen the cooperation of their military-industrial complexes, said President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday.
During a joint press conference with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala in Prague, he said that Ukraine and Chechia discussed arms supplies and the new production, Ukrinform reports.
“We talked about specific projects related to shells and military equipment,” said Zelensky, adding that the Ukrainian Ministry of Strategy and Industry and the Czech Ministry of Defense signed a memorandum.
Zelensky also reported that Ukraine and the Czech Republic have specific cooperation projects in the energy sector. According to him, Czech businesses will actively participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction, transformation, and infrastructure development.
The Ukrainian leader thanked the Czech Republic for supporting the European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukrainians and protecting citizens who were forced to go abroad due to the war unleashed by Russia.
